We at Best Pest Control are not quite ready for summer to be over just yet, but the season is wrapping up. Our calendars say today is the first official day of the fall season, so we guess it's time to embrace all that fall has to offer. At the Lake of the Ozarks, that's a lot! Check out some of the local events that'll kick off the fall season this weekend!

Lake of the Ozarks Family-Friendly Fall Event!
This year the event will host its first Pumkin Chunkin' Competition! There will be a "Largest Pumpkin Contest" and a"Best Decorated Contest" complete with awesome prizes. Enjoy this and more, complete with great MO microbrews and MO wines and tantalizing foods as you browse through all MO artisans and crafters. Throughout the day the stage will great live music all day. Lots for the young ones to enjoy - from bounce houses, corn pits, hay rides, pony rides, face painting and games upon games. Plenty to keep everyone entertained; so grab your friends and family and spend the day at the Pumkin Chunkin Palooza soon to become your family's favorite tradition!

There’s something for everyone at the 34th Annual Eldon Turkey Festival! Shop till you drop as you stroll through vendor-lined downtown streets featuring homemade crafts, d├ęcor, jewelry, clothing and more. Sample delicious fare (make sure to enjoy one of our famous smoked turkey legs before you leave). Enjoy the parade, beer garden, Food Truck Village, children’s carnival, bounce houses and other activities. Listen to live music and enjoy performances at several entertainment stages. You can’t help but enjoy yourself at the Eldon Turkey Festival! You and your kids will be entertained!

Block Party at Whittles Pub & Grub. Live Entertainment by Old Soul Savage playing on stage across from Whittles. We block off the street and party outside. Full bar outside. This event is always a lot of fun.

Surdyke Yamaha's GO FISH Aluminum or Jetboat ONLY Crappie Tournament.
Have an Aluminum Boat or Fishing Pontoon and LOVE Crappie Fishing? Well come out and take part in the annual Fall Aluminum & Jetboat boat ONLY fishing tournament and fish fry on SATURDAY, September 28th! Fish from 8AM to 2PM on the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks, weigh ins from 2-3 PM, then enjoy a fish fry! Cost is $50 per fisherman or $20 for Youth Division (12 and under).

100% of the entry fees will be the cash payout to the Top 5 Finishers. A Yamaha generator will be awarded to the winner of the Biggest Crappie Competition and the Winner of the Youth Division will receive a Yamaha Sea Scooter! If you pre-register you have open start anywhere on Lake of the Ozarks!

Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease!

When you participate in Walk, your fundraising dollars fuel our mission, and your participation in the event helps to change the level of Alzheimer’s awareness in your community. The Alzheimer’s Association provides free, easy-to-use tools and staff support to help participants reach their fundraising goal. While there is no fee to register, we encourage participants to fundraise in order to contribute to the cause and raise awareness.

It’s a “Cruise-In” Rendezvous at Margaritaville on Lake of the Ozarks. All classic boats, their guardians, and those who love the classics are invited for a Sunday Rendezvous, September 29, 2019. There will be plenty of dock space and room for some land displays. - No Rain Date - Event is Rain or Shine - Food & Drink available for purchase at LandShark Bar & Grill - Contact Margaritaville Lake Resort directly for any lodging needs - Must register in advance to reserve slip or land display space Contact Mark Engstrom via email for a no cost slip reservation.
